If You Are Patient, and Use Enough DisksThe emulation options are for the copied disks, the mounted images always have the copy protection emulated. SO, you don't just have to use virtual drives, you can make Real backup Copies! but it does work fine on my Alcohol Virtual drive with the emulation turned off. The only game I haven't been able to copy so far is GRAW. The drives I have are a Lite On 52246s CD burner and a Lite ON 1633s DVD running on XP Pro. I set the DPM to High and 1x and made both copies at maximum speed. I think it's disk #5 for FEAR and disk #2 for Extraction Point. I copied FEAR & FEAR Extraction Point to the 'Play Disks' that are asked for to play the games using the latest version of Alcoholġ20. I'm pretty certain that it was the DPM speed that I used to make the original image that was the problem. I don't think it's something new you need/have to do, I just thought I'd do it to see if it will help me out.
Is this something new that you now have to hide the virtual drives to make an image? I guess this could be my issue as well. Let me get this straight, you made the image with pr0t.st0p running in the background? What error message do you receive when you try to play the game with the image? Have you tried with pr0t.st0p? Also in the Daemon Tools forum you can find YASU 1.07, it seems to be very effective. I don't know which made the difference but, the bottm line is that it works now. I'm trying to remake the image using slower DPM speed now at X1 to see if that will help.I got it! After trying the suggestions and not succeeding, except disableing the HDD, I remade the image using slower DPM speed(1X) and pr0t.st0p running in "hide" mode, it now works from the image. I've tried suggestions here FEAR extraction point with the exception of disableing the HDD.

Creating an Image of a Securom protected CDCan anyone give me a specific instructions as to how to play this game without the actual disk? It won't play off of the image or the copy of the disk.
